The doorway is situated in the north side of the church having been rebuilt in this position at the time of the major restoration in 1892-4. Pevsner notes that the whole church is 'very restored..and plastered, but the outside of the north wall shows early herringbone masonry and a plain contemporary doorway' (pictured here).
