The last person to be buried in the churchyard at Farndon before its closure was the Rev. Brough Maltby, vicar of Farndon. The Revd Maltby (1826-1894), canon on Lincoln, Archdeacon of Nottingham, Parish Priest of Farndon and restorer of Farndon Parish Church between 1892 and 1894 was laid to rest beside his wife Isabella (1856-1892) on 30th March 1894. The memorial is situated beneath the East window of the church, which was itself installed in memory of Isabella (See NCCE000752), (Information kindly supplied by Farndon Local History Society)
