A Daimler CV D6 bus, bought new by Gash in November 1948. It was withdrawn from service in August 1979. The immediate post-war period marked the heyday of Gash's business around Newark with considerable expansion in the number of vehicles owned by the company. By 1950 they had 20 buses. The bus (KAL 579) had Strachan bodywork. The combination of a body by this builder on a Daimler CVD6 chassis was unusual. Only seven are known, Gash and Sons had four.
