Gilstrap Free Library Extension: Opening

The official opening of the extension to the library took place on 2 August 1933. Pictured are Miss Gilstrap with the Mayor, Dr Ernest Ringrose (with back to the camera) and, in the doorway, Mr Jast of the Library Committee. Now no longer needed as a library, the building has become the town's tourist information centre.
