This picture is taken looking west towards the font (see NCCE000698). Directly above the font is a painted royal coat of arms (dated 1814) (see NCCE000973) and the slanted lines in the plaster on either side of the painting are believed to denote the pitch of the old roof. In the centre of the picture (separating the chancel and the nave) is the screen (see NCCE000970).
