This view shows the front of the former Crossing Keeper's House on the Midland Railway Line from Nottingham to Lincoln. The house was designed by T C Hine, the 19th century Nottingham architect. Permission to go on to the lineside to take the photograph was obtained from signalman Philip Spratley.
