The bus pictured has Gash's fleet number BR2. It was a Bristol LH56L bus with bodywork by Marshall's of Cambridge and had 33 seats. The bus was purchased new in March 1975. This type with it's short overall length proved to be extremely useful on the rural routes - the one pictured went from Newark to Nottingham via the villages.
