The viaduct is on the former Midland Railway Company's line from Nottingham to Newark and Lincoln. This picture was taken looking north and shows the length of the viaduct. The side nearest the camera has a catwalk or pathway, supported on brick piers, used by employees of the central Electricity Generating Board at Staythorpe Power Station. The pathway connects with Tolney Lane in Newark.
