River Trent
Staythorpe
England

This picture was taken looking north east from the Central Electricity Generating Board's rail head at Staythorpe Power Station. The viaduct, on the Midland Railway Company's line from Nottingham to Newark and Lincoln, was built on stone piers (seen here). The crossing over the River Trent at Staythorpe may be seen on the extreme left of the picture. A public footpath from near Averham Church skirts the fence (foreground).
