Muskham Grange was located between Main Street and the Great North Road in the area now occupied by the Grange and Park housing estates. This picture shows the main entrance front with carriage drive in the foreground. To the left of the doorway was the Butler's Pantry. Although dating from the sixteenth century, it was greatly extended in the 1780s. In 1789 it was purchased by it's most distinguished owner, William Rastall Dickinson, whose history of Southwell is still the principal work on the town. The grange was demolished in 1963.
