Procession in Newark?, c 1950s

Newark on Trent
England

The lorry is an Austin Loadstar probably belonging to Ransome and Marles (the display looks like a giant bearing). The early '50s scene appears to be some sort of procession - perhaps Festival of Britain, or Coronation, and probably through the streets of Newark, the two left images do look like the Market Place in Newark. The images either side are probably from the same occasion: other vehicles Farrars and BT could perhaps confirm this (Information supplied by Peter Gurd.)
