On the west side of the A614, at the junction of the B6034 (Edwinstowe Road), seen here from the south east. It was once the house of one of the gardeners to the Saville family. In the 1960's it was used as a restaurant, but today it is a private residence. The board suspended from the east gable has the name 'Rose Cottage' painted on it. The non-standard bricks of the original contrast with the symmetry of the standard ones used in the modern extension on the right
