The stable yard, looking south. Right is the east wing of the stables and hunting-lodge (see also photos no's 37a, 38a & 41a). Details of the arched gateway in the centre of the hunting lodge, and the plaques above it, can be seen in photo no. 40a and details of the stone dog kennel this side of the arch can be seen in photo no.34a. In the background are the coach-houses and hostelry (see also photo no. 42a). The tables cum forms are provided by the NCC Leisure Services for the use of visitors, to eat their picnic meals from. They have a monastic-refectory appearance about them, and can be seen in many parts of the park. They are not fixed and can be moved by visitors to suit their needs.
