Mr R.A. Sheldrake pictured here upon graduation from Nottingham University with a degree in phramacy. He is photographed in the back yard of Sheldrake's Newark home. Reginald Sheldrake was the eldest son of Alfred James and Edith Sheldrake who had a wallpaper shop at 43 Appleton Gate. In the 1930s later opened his own chemists' shop at 35 Appleton Gate.
